@Center for the Arts, 7700 Osler Dr, Towson, MD21204
The Asian Arts and Culture Center together with Towson University College of Fine Arts and Communication and Baltimore Kawasaki Sister City Committee are proud to present a “MUST SEE” documentary about nuclear weapons, nuclear testing, and evidence of contamination fallout that eclipses the movie Oppenheimer and shines a light on 1950’s nuclear history. From acclaimed Japanese director Hideaki Ito comes the untold story of victims of nuclear testing, journeying from Salt Lake City, to Virginia, to Missouri, to Japan.
This film exposes the complicated truth behind the detonation of nuclear bombs
worldwide and looks at recent research data about contamination fields and the continued efforts to suppress these results.
This screening will include a visit from the film’s director, Hideaki Ito. Following the film there will be a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Kuznick with participants:
Gwen DuBois: President of Chesapeake Physicians of Social Responsibility
Hideaki Ito: Director of Silent Fallout
Peter Kuznick: Prof. at American University, Director of Nuclear Studies Institute
Max Obuszewski: Baltimore Nonviolent Center
