BKSCC Novmenber 22nd, 2025
Old Bay Spice Institute cooking event was successfully held on Oct 17th~19th. BKSCC collaborated with the Kawasaki Boy Scouts to host this food event during JOTI (Jamboree on the Internet). This event is organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement and is recognized as the largest digital and radio Scout event in the world, taking place online and over the airwaves.
During this event, the scouts experimented with various combinations of Old Bay seasoning and different foods, including Japanese cuisine, as part of a cultural exchange. The most popular combination was "Old Bay and French fries," highlighting how great food can bring people together, regardless of their backgrounds. This embodies the essence of sister city partnerships—uniting people, exploring new experiences, and celebrating our global connections.
This is the result of collaboration between the Kawasaki Scout Organization and BKSCC led by Jay Gordon and Tomoyo Seo and Hiro Hasegawa.
